Promenada The Empty Shop

- Our core ambition was to position Promenada and the NEPI Rockastle malls as a relevant place for community involvement and to bring a real positive impact nationwide. We looked for a concept that could reach our goals and we identified the open-source model of The Empty Shop that addressed our endeavor and provided the flexibility. Thus, we transformed the malls into a destination where people go to fill the shelves of a shop with clothing items, which were donated to people in need. We also identified relevant NGO partners which helped us wash and sort the clothes and to identify and reach the beneficiaries national wide.
Besides creating the empty shop in Promenada, we installed donation boxes in 12 shopping centers throughout the entire country. We designed an implemented an impactful social campaign which stimulated an impressive community engagement, helping numerous families during each edition.
